About this place
Thick cuts of duck grilled alongside scallions in an iron skillet form the centerpiece of the duck and negi skillet dish, making it one of the highlights of dining at Nobu-an in Tsukishima. The duck is enjoyed with grated daikon seasoned with a house-blended soy sauce and kanzuri, a fermented chili paste specialty from Niigata. The grated daikon cuts cleanly through the sweet richness of the duck fat, while the gentle heat of the kanzuri provides a distinctive accent.
According to published menu details, course options centered around the grilled duck with scallions include a version with 4 appetizers for 4,200 yen and another with 6 appetizers for 5,200 yen, both finished with a serving of cold seiro soba. Prices may be subject to change. Side dishes are served in individual small bowls, featuring selections such as vegetables dressed in tofu purée, nuta with sweet vinegar miso, and blanched greens in dashi. Individual orders are also available, including板わさ (itawasa fish cake), boiled whitebait, fried chicken, and vegetable tempura to pair with beer and other drinks.
Handmade seiro soba completes the meal. Concluding the experience with chilled noodles after savoring the skillet-grilled duck and appetizers follows the venue's classic dining pattern. Diners also praise the clean throat-feel of the soba, and dishes like kamo nanban or kamo seiro allow guests to enjoy duck and buckwheat noodles directly as a standalone meal.
Business hours run from Tuesday through Sunday from 18:00 to 22:00, with Mondays closed. Because the grilled duck courses are designated as reservation-only, booking in advance is necessary when visiting for the set menu.
